The house is in the mountains in which the porch was rmoved to install a new one. When the construction team removed the porch, I noticed a terrible odor eminating from the dirt. It smells like dead animals or something. I have searched the ground but see no signs of animal bones or anything. I dont want the porch put up until the smell can be taken care of. Can someone give me some idea of what can be causing this problem, and how can I get rid of it.

I have a push mower and I had to replace the handle bar. I took it apart and put the new handle on. I can no longer pull the ripcord without using a great amount of strength. No way could I start it.

Did the rip cord get tangled on the inside? Is there an easy way to fix this? Do I have to take that apart? I am terrible with fixing things. Any tips would be appreciated.

I've got these pictures from the dslreports "home office setup" forum. Does someone recognize which desk this is? Please provide me with a link for information on the desk.

my four old was helping and dropped a quart of buttermilk on the carpet and then decided to see if standing on the container was a fun thing to do--what can I use to make sure that it doesn't mold or sour the carpet?

Do you remove the masking tape before or after the paint is dry?
What happens if you do the wrong thing? (My rooms are already dry, the tape is still on the walls.) I have 2 more rooms to go.

The electrician was already at our home doing other work, helping the contractor building our deck, so there shouldn't have been a service charge of any sort, just the material and labor. Based on all the work he did that day, I believe he spent approximately 1 hour on the installation.

I would like to insert horizontal pieces into perpendicular dadoes, in order to create simple rails and styles around floating panels for (semi)rustic cabinetry, but I'm having trouble keeping such long pieces square.
