help!!! Anyone know how to get buttermilk out of the carpet?

my four old was helping and dropped a quart of buttermilk on the carpet and then decided to see if standing on the container was a fun thing to do--what can I use to make sure that it doesn't mold or sour the carpet?

Use warm soapy water to clean up the mess first. Let the area air dry then use 1 TBS lemon juice with 1 cup cool water, apply to area and let soak for about 5 minutes then use a clean dry towel to soak the lemon mixture from the carpet. Good luck.
