I do residential house drawings as side work. I might consider taking a look at your ideas and float you a number to draw up the plans. Ive done some design on a 2-story with a 3-story atrium (basement part of the atrium), never a 3-story though....but that's just a matter of adding another floor and heavier members. An architect designs the house, a carpenter builds it. Go to an architectural firm and hire someone. Look them up in the yellow pages. Or purchase pre-designed house plans, and you can modify them with your contractor, if you desire.

You might want to look in your area for some architecture firms, contact them, it's better if they actually talk to you (to know what styles you like) and see the piece of land where you want your house built.good luck!

an off the shelf plan will cost you a LOT less. there are books full of plans you can buy.
