My 3 yr old son dumped 4 or 5 bottles of cologne out on the carpeted floor. The smell is so overpowering it's sickening. I've tried a lot of different products to mask the odor or to neutralize it. Nothing seems to work! Help!

Has anyone been offered a free carpet cleaning, then discovered it was a sales call for Kirby Vacuum? I fell for the cleaning offer and, because of a "gut feeling", locked up all valuables in the house. It seemed like a deceitful and shady operation? Has anyone had a similar experience?

curtains...floor... which requires chemicals, and scrubbing, to remove . . .

Is it possible that the same soap scum is 'left' on one's skin? similar to the residue left in your hair, from shampoos???

I have this plant that was potted with outdoor's dirt. There are actually bugs that you would see outside crawling among the dirt, giant green toadstools, etc. How would I go about repotting and riddening the plant of these pests. I am scratching as I write this. This is a very beautiful plant and I don't want it to die or have to kill it because of these pests attacking other household plants.

Part of the cellar of the house I moved into is not accessible. There is a chirp every 2 - 4 minutes from inside the space I can't get to. I think the chirp is from a smoke detector that has a dying battery in it. I have been waiting for more than a year for the chirping to stop but it hasn't stopped yet. I can look over the wall and see under part of the enclosed space but I can't see all of the space this way. What can I do if I don't want to tear up the floor in the room above?

I know ash makes plants thrive, but is it okay to put cigarette ash in the soil? Does the ash still contain nicotine, and, if so, is that bad for the plant?

Our air conditioner had an overflow problem that seeped into the next room, creating an odor like cat spray. It's slowly drying but the odor still lingers. Any suggestions?
