Wish you had asked earlier. Candle wax can be removed from most anything by freezing it or putting ice cubes on it, then lifting it off. As to the stain, look for products that are used on driveways to lift stains.

You spilled WHAT on your porch? Are you talking about a citronella candle? Was your porch ever painted, or is it bare concrete? If it was painted, you can get the rest of the wax off by placing a blotter (or a few sheets of newspaper) over the stain and ironing it. The heat of the iron melts the wax and the newspaper, or blotting paper, absorbs it. If it wasn't painted, I'm afraid you're going to have to learn to live with the stain. Depending on where it is located on your porch, you might be able to put a plant over it.

In addition to all of the other good answers I would add.... cornmeal. It is very absorbant. The heat of the sunn will help. Wait until suniis really hot on the porch and work the cornmeal in. Let sit and sweep away. May have to try again.. Some people I have heard about use a carbonated soda. If you do that I think one with no color would be best.

I have heard that you can remove it with a commercial steamer. You might also be able to do it with a steam iron (it works for other material if you put some cloth over the stain, and steam it the wax might come out).

Just keep it covered with cat litter in the hot of the day and wait. It will eventually absorb the stain.

Try using boiling water, yes, pour boiling water on it first, then use Ajax and a gentle scrubber on it--or another mild detergent or astringent, like Comet, and if you still don't have it removed, use a little bleach. Because bleach shouldn't dye the concrete.

Try Boric Acid...it is corrosive tho so use very sparingly and handle with care. I washed the deck of a factory trawler with a boric acid based cleaner...the horror.

Muratic acid is best on concrete.
