I live in London N15 so am guessing I need to take it to a posh central London dry cleaners. The dress is made of duchess satin with a trim made of glass beads and (presumably) plastic pearls. There's a funny plastic net trim holding the hem in place. (am making it sound horrible- it's v. nice really!)

I have always wanted my bedroom to look like a stage set over the top and really bohemain with maybe a touch of the old fashioned Boudoire.
What ideas do you have or would you like in your bedroom?

My shower wiring has been enclosed behind the plasterboard walls and tiles but when viewing a house I noticed that the electric wiring had been run down the wall on top of the tiles in mini - trunking. Is this permitted under the IEE regulations?

I would like to move my washer from the main floor of my home down into the basement... the washer currently just drains out a hose into the yard. Due to the age of the septic system I do Not want to hook into that (has to be emptied on regular basis just from showers alone). So I am looking for an idea on how to reuse the water,,, maybe a sprinkler system to water the lawn??? I use detergents that are safe for the enviroment since I live next to a stream and wouldn't want to harm the fish,so I don't have to worry about harming the lawn either. I have heard of systems that reuse the washer rinse water to wash the next load but looking for another way to save and reuse water.

I am trying to find out if it is recommended, or even logical, to put refrigerator in a (insulated) cold room? I know it seems odd, but the house i bought have a relatively large cold room. I am thinking of moving the refrigerator into the cold room, to give more space to my kitchen. But I am concerned about the heat released from the refrigerator and air circulation in the cold room. Any advice is appreciated.

It's the middle of summer (2 more months of 90+ degrees) and I want to prune my crape myrtle for next yr. I've read opposing "tips" on how to and when. What worked best for you?

When I got my house I found the wall panels in the upstairs bedrooms were made of Asbestos cement, not plasterboard, and I've spent around 2 grand having them removed replaced and plastering re-done. There was no mention of this on my Homebuyers survey, (although it did say the Artex ceilings might contain Asbestos). The walls were not dangerous, as it was White Asbestos sheet, but had a I known this before buying I would certainly have negotiated something off the price.

Is there any comeback with Homebuyers surveys? If so do I have to hire an expensive lawyer to get anything done? Anybody successfully got money back from an inaccurate homebuyers survey?

Many thanks
Matt
