I am trying to find out if it is recommended, or even logical, to put refrigerator in a (insulated) cold room? I know it seems odd, but the house i bought have a relatively large cold room. I am thinking of moving the refrigerator into the cold room, to give more space to my kitchen. But I am concerned about the heat released from the refrigerator and air circulation in the cold room. Any advice is appreciated.

I assume the cold room is no longer in use. if you put the fridge in the cold room leave the cold room door open at all times as the condenser and the compressor run very hot and need cooler air to cool off when the fridge is cycling otherwise youre going to have a warm room and wont be of any use other than for storing non perishables

Yes and no. The refrigerator needs a minimum room temperature to properly run. If you keep the room from getting too cold it should be okay. But you may run into trouble with the freezer section getting too warm if the area around the fridge gets too cold.

The fridge will heat the cold room. If you are going to use it as an 'original cold room' you better not. If it is just storage you can place the fridge there. Be sure it is ventilated properly.

The thing will work fine, but keep in mind that when it goes to the same ambient temp. as the product in the box, it starts to lose efficiency due to drop in compressor head pressure.

You can, but a refrigerator works most efficiently at room temperature.

A friend tried to put her fridge on an enclosed porch and it did not run right. So I think not.

yaa it is better to put it there bcoz it would be more efficient coz it can exchange the heat from the surroundings more quickly nd less work has to be done
