Garbage Bag. It is too acidic for a home compost. Cat poo the same. Try adding a fertilizer with a high nitrogen content, for breaking down organic compost over the winter.

You can compost dog poo, but never put that compost on your food crops!! Use only for ornamental plants!!

There are some nasty things that live in dog poo that you do not want to throw onto your vegetables or anything else you are growing to eat.

NO---------Never in the compost pile. There are tiny worms and things in the poop that are bad for you. Dog poop should NEVER be used where you are going to garden or in the compost. Horse poop is ok, but you still should not put it in the compost. Put it directly in the ground.

not a good idea. deal with dog waste separately. do not put in compost heap if you're planning to use compost on vegatable garden.

if you have room for a compost heap, maybe you have room for dog waste pit.

Dog droppings should never be used in the compost pile. Animals that eat meat have harmful bacteria in their droppings that can be harmful to humans. That is why rabbit, chicken, and horse manure is regularly used, since they are herbivores their waste does not contain these harmful bacteria.

Might as well compost it. Its organic. If the dog is eating meat its questionable how rich it is but still its manure.
