You might try a Cafe Curtain Rod. These are similar to a shower curtain tension rod, but are made for curtains.

A lot of renters go ahead and put nails or screws in the walls, but remove them before they leave. When you take the nails or screws out, you can repair the holes with spackling compound or a little bit of white toothpaste.

I have seen these things at like wal mart or somewhere they are some sort of hook that you put on the wall that just sort of sticks there. There are supposed to be easy to remove. You could also try to use needles. We never use nails we always use needle to hang all of our pictures and stuff up with so there won't be a big hole there if you decide to redecorate.

Velcro. Get some that has that sticky stuff on the back. One side to the curtain the other to the wall, and viola!

Who says, the landlord?? He/She won't notice unless you let them come in or live around. Once you move out you can put some of that bonding... white paste on the wall when you leave your apartment or dorm. There is a sort of gum/playdo like thing that you can hang posters but it only works on cement walls.

I would go with the tension rod, they make them in different sizes and finishes.
