No, wild Blackberry is not poisonous. I have several wild Blackberry bushes that grow at my house and my family has eaten them several times. Just make sure to wash them really well and to wait till they're ripe before picking them. The only time we've ever had any problems from eating them was when my kids picked and ate a bunch that weren't ripe yet. They had upset stomach's for the rest of the night.

there is a blackberry that grows arrround here and i eat them i guess the only risk i get from them is overspray from my neibors acid rain and lead based paint in the soil and people whom poisioned the soil before i got there and other chemicals i dont know about or stuff that dont break down for like 7 years but maybee you will like the blackberrys from the store i would make shure someone has been eating the blackberrys for a long time before you just aimlessly eat some black berry

Be careful to observe if there is any poison ivy by. No, it is not poisonous, the berries are quite good during season. The plant itself may be deceiving as it has "leaves of three"...but, poison ivy does not have thorns. Enjoy.

Not poisonous but don't encourage them. Extremely thorny and not worth the trouble. Plus for some reason they seem to be really attractive to chiggers. I have both wild and tame, thornless berries. My goal is to kill out the wild ones, as the thornless ones are great and produce heavily. Once the wild ones are established, though, they are really difficult to kill out.

No, but if you eat too many you could get a tummy ache.
AND the birds will eat a bunch of them and poop purple all
over your car, house...and, well, you get it.
I wouldn't want a blackberry bush in my yard, they are ugly
and thorny, but the berries are a tasty treat.
