If your question was for a insulation contractor I wouldn't even ask about the lower "R" value
If you were asking what it would cost you to do the job I suggest you simply look at the cost of the chosen r value material availabale from either the local lumber yard or big box home center. Then multiply the cost by the area you wish to cover/insulate

if its a large job,3cents a foot, small jobs i bid as piece work on how long it will take.
