The hinge on ours broke - we had to send away to the manufacturer for the hinge as, being built in, it was of a special type, and it took 4 weeks to come. It cost 35 quid for a pair, needed both as come in right and left/top or bottom, and fitted it ourselves. Hope yours is more straightforward.

Yes the hinges can drop or snap cos of the weight of the door contents, try and make sure the pins are tight and see if the hing will push up or get the model number and order a new hinge from either the manufacturer or Comet spares, OR call a nice fridge repair man, don't pay more than £35, i think the hinges should be about £7 each. (i'm an ex fridge man)

I had a fridge door break that I successfully repaired with some epoxy. Depending on how it is broken, reattach the broken piece and epoxy it.

hire a repair man, if it's a rented or council flat, contact the landlord or council and they'll send someone to fix it
