i have a hot tub that I made myself of wood and black tarp liner. Its about 8ft x4ft and 3 feet high. How would it be possibly to heat this without buying a heater?

Eat about 50-60 bean burritos, and let it rip.

You could make up some of the older style solar heat panels with a garden hose drill operated pump,or if you got steam that will do,or make a recirculating type system with an old water heater system with a drill operated pump on the intake side of the water that will be in your hot tub and tank could be laid down over a fire away from the tub and the outlet be put back in the tub.

You would probley need a heater to heat that much water to 100 degrees. I wouldnt think a solar cover would work becuse I have one for my pool and it is not that powerful although it does get it fairly warm.
