All acid-loving plants will benefit from coffee grounds, like pine trees, tomatoes, and roses. Check the plant's preferred pH level.

I throw coffee grounds in all my flower beds...in moderation. Not only does it add acid to the soil...it also will lighten up the soil. It's especially nice in compost piles.

I also give my plants (houseplants too) a drink of watered down coffee once every month. One cup of cooled coffee left over from the morning to 1 gallon of water. They seem to really like it.

I've heard that roses love coffee grounds. Also camillias. But most people throw their coffee grounds into the compost and it helps create a lovely dark loamy soil.

Hydrangea. Coffee grounds add acid and the more acid the more blue the bloom.

ROSES!!!!!

You can also use them as the nitrogen source in the compost (instead of manure).

You can get major amounts at Starbucks. I'm sure other places will save them for you, but at Starbucks it's a corp sponsored program to give grounds to gardeners. If they don't give them to you, they pay to get rid of them. So, when they give them to you.... everybody wins!
