Sometimes in the morning or the middle of the night I'll wake up from the pain of leg cramps. It's always in the calf muscle, and doesn't happen in one leg more than the other. The cramping usually lasts 5-10 seconds after it wakes me up. I don't get this every night - it's more like a few times in a month. I never get it during the daytime. I've been told that it can be from electrolyte imbalances, but my diet is not lacking in that area.

Any ideas?

I already have a call into my doctor... but I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with this. I was diagnosed with chronic sinusitis, given one antibiotic that I could not take due to the side effects, and now amoxicillin. I started to feel better, but now today have so much pain that I can barely focus on anything... Does anyone know what this could mean?

I am getting a headache every night. It starts anytime between 5 and 7 and I go to sleep with it (and sometimes it stays overnight). My other half says it's a combination of allergies and the drastic change in temparature (goes from 50's to high 80's every day). They are not sinus headaches, it's a headache that hits where a headband would sit on my head. I just know I'm sick of being in pain and trying to not be crabby with my kiddies. I've tried some different OTC meds, but I'm concerned about taking them because something as simple as tylenol sinus can knock me out. I've tried tylenol migraine, aleve, ibuprophen, drixoral and tylenol sinus and none have helped (or they've knocked me on my butt--I can't care for my kids because I'm so drowsy). Any suggestions? This hasn't happened before.

I have started having pain in the right side of my neck towards the back. Between the spine and area where my ear is. This is causing sleepless nights. I have tried lortab 7.5 x2 last night with no relief it allowed a little more rom but no relief to the pain. Also this pain is making it now difficult to swallow. It feels like a lump very deep in the back side of neck. If I touch my neck I can not palpate the muscle to help because It feels much deeper and heat did not help either. The difficulty in swallowing is odd because my throat is not sore in the least just this lump feeling in the area where the pain is coming from in the back area of my neck. Plz Help

For the last several weeks i've been having terrible pain in my shoulder, neck, and head. I wrote it of as being aches and pains associated with mono, but all my other symptoms have left and my pain in these areas continues. my shoulder is very tight feeling and the pain never really goes away in my head, neck, or shoulder. I haven't done anything to injure it that i know of, and don't know why it would be hurting. if anyone knows anything about this kind of thing please help me out.

I have been diagnosed with a pinched nerve in my back before. I had to have physical therapy and all because of a hereditary natural overcurvature in my spine that weakens it.

Recently, I have had a lot of back problems. It gets to the point where I can't sit and I stand leaning to one side. When I pick up my right leg my hip pops and I can feel and hear it.

I have been going to chiropractor and massage therapist for it, but I'm still having a lot of problems and my medical insurance does not cover them.

I'm only 23. Young to have such back problems, I know. Should I go see my medical doctor again? It seems like the only thing they do is give me flexeril and prescription pain meds. They don't actually help get better just manage the pain.

2.5 years ago i had great burning and heating pain in my Pelvic region.

Later on it was found i has Varicocele and got operated on that, But burning sensations still remained.

later i visited a lot of doctors and finally just 1/2 yr back i found, it is Pundendal Neuropathy according to the symptoms i am facing.

But still the MRI's doesnt show any Nerve Compressed and Still the Burning pains remain.

I couldnt work for long without Pain Killers. My doc is trying Physical Excercises, Medication like Sodium Valproate and right now We are trying Few Pain relieving steriods.

As the knowledge on this Problem is pretty much less in Medical Community , I dont know how long still i have to bear with pain and live on Pain killers.

If any person went through this problem, or any doctor knows how to deal with this problem. So that i could come out of this very worse pains as soon as possible.

Please answer me clearly and help me out in resolving the problem.

I have this odd tingling sensation on the left side of my head. It started out as a painful feeling near the crown but then it moved down to my temple and no longer hurts but feels like a numbness, itch, or sometimes tingle. I don't think it's a tumor because I don't have headaches, vomiting, or any other problems associated with that. I think it could be damage to my trigeminal nerve after I had two molars extracted, or possibly due to the tension my neck suffers from using the computer. I received my computer during the same time that I had my teeth removed, and this problem arose a few weeks later and has been going on for months. It's not terrible but it's not very comfortable, either. I'd like to get a better understanding of what's going on and what I can do to treat this problem.

in '05 i was in a car accident and broke both femurs, lost a chunk of my thigh, broke both sides of my pelvic, shattered my right elbow, ruptured my spleen and liver...now at 21 i have arthritis and joint pain i also get migraines, and i still have swelling in my legs...pain killers make me feel hung over and don't get rid of the pain...when i was introduced to pot, i realized it helped with my pain and still help me function, as hard as it is to believe for some of you on your high horse who look down on pot, & most people do, so if you don't have a helpful solution then no thanks to your answers! and don't think i am encouraging pot, to each is own, but i would like to find out if there is any other alternative and if people can let me inn on it, because pot has become too much of a liability for me, and i'm sick of having to just live with my pain! thanks you in advance!

Almost every night when i sleep i wake up around 5am with a shooting pain on my outer thigh. Sometimes it feels prickly and moves up into the side of my butt cheek. I keep attempting to stretch it and massage it out, but it will not go away! There is a bump where it sits too...right above the kneecap on the side of my leg. Anyone that can tell me whats going on will just make my week!! thanks.

I have crazy abdominal pain. It started last night at like 2 AM (it didn't wake me up, I was just awake already) and it hurts whenever I use those muscles--so when I pee and stuff.
It doesn't hurt constantly. It just sometimes feels like it's about to explode, like it's swelling or something? It's usually when I move in certain ways, or when I try to go to the bathroom, or sometimes when I'm just sitting there not moving it randomly starts hurting.
I feel nauseous, and I threw up a little bit earlier...
And I'm totally not hungry at all--food is not on my menu right now.
I'm tired, too, but I've had very little sleep lately and that may have something to do with it.

Could anyone help me out here? I've had an ovarian cyst before, but this pain is a lot lower than that was and I'm not sure if it is the same type of pain. Oh, it also hurts (kind of like a bruise-like pain, though) to press on my lower right abdominal area.

I have had aching and tenderness in my mid-upper abdomen (right-hand side) that comes and goes...stays for a few days and then goes away. I have also had nausea that comes and goes. My appendix is already out. The pain sometimes goes away for like a month and then comes back. What do you think?
Also...an ultrasound taken recently shows no gallstones.

Bad Idea! Now my gums are swollen don't fit in right at all! I've had 1 adjustment done and getting another tomorrow, That's IF I can get them back in! the first week was hell but at least I had teeth in my mouth! So? to make the RIGHT adjustments my dentures need to be fitting "IN" right, THEY DON"T! Not at all! Any idea's how to get my gum swelling down? (OH! S***! The pain! Geez!!) At this point I'll deal with pain, if I could only wear them again! It's so embarrassing to see myself look so old and "sunken it". Much less anyone else! I am so sorry I did this!

I've recently bought an exercise bike and I've been using it daily. After a few times of use, I started to experience a pain, like a sort of cramp in my right leg and now I feel constant tingling in it. I'm a little hesitant to go to a doctor for various reasons which I won't go into but I was just wondering what could be causing this?

My mom has terrible kidney pains that cause it to burn when see urinates and she says the pain is almost as excruciating as child birth.
The question is if there is anything she can drink or eat that would help the pain decrease.
She says that coconut water would help. Have you ever heard that, and can you back it up?
Also, we dont need to be told to take her to the doctor. Her doctors are fully aware, but thank you for your concern.

Once again, if you know of anything she can take to ease the pain then please tell us. Thank You.
