I assume she has Osteoarthritis, [OA] or what they term wear and tear? Many people get OA of their hands as they age, due to using hands, therefore wear and tear. Things that can assist the correct utensils, I have large soft grips on my knife, fork so can eat my food and I am just 49, but have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Low fat diet is recommended along with weight loss. The medicines for OA are usually pain killers and some anti-inflammatory drugs, however their are over 100 types of anti-inflammatory drugs to try. Some will suit others will not. I have been on the same anti-inflammatory since 1992 and no problems. Likewise I splint my hands at night and tend to protect the joints during the day. Good Luck

Arthiritis is big in my family (truth be know we probably have everytype of ailment going lol) So, other then the usual creams that you could rub into your knee joint (like Voltoral gel), try a desertspoon of 'Cider vinegar' every morning, This seems to ease the pain, and stiffness associated with arthiritis. I don't know why but everyone in the family swears by it! It doesn't taste fantastic, but in the long run it WILL pay off. When the weather is bad, heavy rain due, arthirits gets worse..... don't know why!

And the pain is almost GONE in my right foot. Working on my left foot now...
The Miracle Trigger incorporates the healing forces of acupuncture to zap away stress. Place it on the bodies stress zones, push the plunger, and the two crystals inside rub together to create a small stimulus.

Red meat, sausages and prawns are no good for arthritis. Tomatoes and corn (maize) are also bad.
What you need is plenty of alkaline foods such as beetroot and in fact most fruit and vegetables are slighly alkaline and help to neutralize the acidity in your body.
Perhaps a web search for arthritis + "natural remedies" might be useful.

There is no medicine for H/A, RA, OA, Back ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress,
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating all pains confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.
Avoid all cold things, late sleeping if possible; worry, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.
