For the last several weeks i've been having terrible pain in my shoulder, neck, and head. I wrote it of as being aches and pains associated with mono, but all my other symptoms have left and my pain in these areas continues. my shoulder is very tight feeling and the pain never really goes away in my head, neck, or shoulder. I haven't done anything to injure it that i know of, and don't know why it would be hurting. if anyone knows anything about this kind of thing please help me out.

It could just be a muscle spasm or form of migraine. You should see a doctor to be sure.

Its a muscle spasm - usually caused by a pinched nerve or overusing a muscle from sitting or lying in an odd position. Sometimes a magnesium supplement 3x per day helps the muscles to relax, but applying heat followed by stretching sometimes helps. I usually go to a chiropractor for these types of thing, and it works wonders.

this happens to me a lot. I havent really found a good solution other than wait one or two days, the pain usually goes away by then. It's really not that bad, just avoid moving your head to the right. I tried slowly moving my head towards the way it hurts but that doesn't seem to do much. It just hurts. Sleep so your neck doesn't hurt and it should feel better in the morning. (without a pillow) Don't worry about it, it's not that major. If it hurts too much and really bothers you, try some ice.

You may have a pinched nerve in your neck, which can be caused by even the slightest false movement.

May I suggest visiting an osteopath....they usually can resolve the problem in 2 sessions.

Good luck.
