I have had aching and tenderness in my mid-upper abdomen (right-hand side) that comes and goes...stays for a few days and then goes away. I have also had nausea that comes and goes. My appendix is already out. The pain sometimes goes away for like a month and then comes back. What do you think?
Also...an ultrasound taken recently shows no gallstones.

Track the pain and then see if the pain has a pattern in relationship to what you eat especially the amount of fat in what eat. then contact your doctor and discuss with them him/her the symptoms that you have been having.

If you've got no gall stones, it's not the gall bladder, since the pain comes from a stone getting lodged in the common bile duct. It could be a kidney stone, or an esophageal problem.
