I am 1 yr post double discectomy w/ no relief. Should I retire @ 52?

I was a Cabinet Maker for 28 yrs. I started having a stiff neck a 18 months ago. A yr ago I had a double discectomy. I can't do that kind of work now. Should I retire or retrain?

I would recommend asking your doctor if it's safe for you to retrain for another job. A place that may be able to help you is an agency called Vocational Rehab (if in the U.S.).
