I have this odd tingling sensation on the left side of my head. It started out as a painful feeling near the crown but then it moved down to my temple and no longer hurts but feels like a numbness, itch, or sometimes tingle. I don't think it's a tumor because I don't have headaches, vomiting, or any other problems associated with that. I think it could be damage to my trigeminal nerve after I had two molars extracted, or possibly due to the tension my neck suffers from using the computer. I received my computer during the same time that I had my teeth removed, and this problem arose a few weeks later and has been going on for months. It's not terrible but it's not very comfortable, either. I'd like to get a better understanding of what's going on and what I can do to treat this problem.

I also have four wisdom teeth still in, two of which are impacted and have started to move after the molars were taken out. Aside from that I have another molar that either needs a root canal or extraction... I can't really afford to take care of my medical/dental needs because I don't have insurance and I'm only a student.

Fortunately I live in San Francisco and there are actually a couple free clinics available... I do have another appointment for December 19th but the doctor I'm seeing kind of laughed off this problem to being anxiety related when I went to him the first time as soon as it started happening.

Yes, this sounds nerve related. I used to know someone that had trigeminal neuralgia (pain of the trigeminal nerve).

This needs to be evaluated by a doctor but because of your finances check with the city health dept to see if they offer a free health clinic (some of these free clinics also offer dental services) that may be able to help. If not, check to see if there's a Medical School (if one is close by they may also have a dental program that you can get help from for dental needs).

I'd want to understand this more too if I were you. It could always be a pinched (pressed) nerve. If it's moved it could also be a blood clot. They can move until they are completely clogged. I don't know what to say. I'll never know what's wrong with you. You could always go to Canada and get everything done at once for a fraction of the cost. (free)

Its better you consult a neurologist or neurophysiologist and go for a CT or EEG.As tingling is a symptom of seizure or hemorrhage, this examinations will definitely help you to overcome such suspicious conditions.

Could be a "mini-stroke..."

A blood-vessel that's not "fatal" if it bursts, has broken...sort of a "capillary stroke..."

So the itching and tingling is the "leakage..."

(But I think your slight "nerve" damage theory could also be correct)
