It doesn't happen with all shoes (i.e. never with high heels). But with some shoes, especially with hiking boots, the pain shoots up from my right leg upto my spine. This happens within two days of wearing the shoes and doesn't go away for months at a time..

any suggestions?? Ofcourse i can stop wearing hiking shoes, but then i risk straining my ankles...

my mum had a cervical spinal cord surgery on 7th, she has a wound on her near front neck, it's been almost 2 weeks but she still HAVEN'T removed the dressing, i wasn't there when my dad charged her out of hospital, i asked him did the nurse tell him how to take care of the dressing, he recalled nothing about it, and he said we shouldn't touch it anyway, because he thinks it should be removed by doctor/nurse on the follow up day (which was last friday, but the doctor had an emergency and didn't show up and the date has been postponed to tomorrow) so... is there any dressing should be removed by professional or all kind of dressing should be changing everyday, are we making a horrible mistake?

I stepped on somebody's foot while playing basketball last night and my ankle rolled. I had intense pain and my foot swelled up at my ankle and completely around my foot. I cannot rotate my foot at all and the ankle hurts to touch. I woke up in the middle of the night with intense pain in my foot. My foot is disfigured and I am in continuous pain. I can walk and somewhat put pressure on my foot.

I have been applying hydrogen peroxide and neosporin and had used a large bandage until yesterday when I ran out of bandages. It is still red and hasn't scabbed over yet & shows sign of infection I believe - itching and burning is the main symptom.
Do I need to see a doctor or should I try applying some other kind of topical medicine?
Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

on top of that, i also did house cleaning - exerting more effort with my hands more than i would have done working out in the gym. I'm not too concerned about the muscle pain but the pain in the joints and the change in appearance (it looks arthritic) is freaking me out. will it go back to looking normal or have i totally damaged my hands?

My five year old daughter dislocated her radius and Ulna, and broke off part of her humerus. She had surgery within hours, and had wires to hold it together. She is currently in a splint. It was 10 days ago, and although she is fairly active running around playing, she is still asking for pain releif constantly. When I questioned her activity, she told me that she "doesn't want to be sitting down taking medicine for the rest of her life, she wants to enjoy herself". Does anyone know how long it is going to keep hurting? I can tell it still hurts by the way she breathes, and she gets a slight temperature when it's hurting a lot.

When I wear shoes for like 10-15 minutes, my left pinky toe has a "pins and needles" feeling and it is a little numb. My shoes fit me, too. What could be the problem?

I have several cuts/scratches on my arm in one area, and i need to know the fastest way for them to heal without scarring ( I would like to wear short sleeves this summer! :-) ) They are not very deep at all, and are kind of almost like cat scratches, I have tried keeping gauze taped over it with neosporin over the scratches, but everytime I take them off to change it, I end up pulling skin off where the medical tape was, thus worsening the problem. For surface wounds, is a bandage even neccessary? They don't bleed at all, and are already closed. If a bandage and antibiotic would lessen the chances of scarring, I'll just deal with it. Thanks :-D

I have seriously 12 scars on my legs. I went the other day to buy scar removal lotion, but it costs too much for me to buy constantly for my legs. I was wondering if anyone knew a home remedy or something to help me with this issue.

I had a soccer tournament this weekend and while playing in a game on Saturday I was kicked pretty hard in the shin (right about the middle of my shin) it was really sore and painful to touch and so on but didn't really hurt when I ran. Then in our soccer game today i was kicked again in the same spot and now it hurts worse plus it hurts to walk. I have a big bruise where I got kicked and a bump is forming.
Could this be a fracture or anything that i need to worry about or is it just a bone bruise?
Thanks for any help!
