Yes, I have had this on several occasions. I've found in the past that burn cream isn't very effective so last time I tried aloe vera. I've heard it doesn't smell and itsn't as sticky if you blend it up to make a runny mixture. It actually worked and my burn healed in half the time. To make a blended mixture take a few "leaves" from the aloe plant and carefully cut away the outside. Put the pulp in a food processor/blender and puree into a smooth gel like mixture. Place the gel onto the burn as many times a day as possible until the burn heals and the scab falls off. This prevented a scar last time I burnt myself.

If it is big, go to the doctor, like other people said, they have medicines for that. Keep oil and ointments off of the burn, it keeps in the heat. You may have noticed that many that went to the doctor said cream. Neosporin CREAM can help prevent infection. Aloe is supposed to be good on burns as one has recommended. Once the burn is partially healed (stops being hot all the time), and it is safe to use oil, vitamin E oil (from the cut open capsule/pill or from the bottle) will help it heal well. Taking vitamin E now will also help it heal faster, but avoid mega-doses as you can overdose on it.

yes. i was soldering a project and the molten lead dripped onto my arm. when it hardened and fell off, it took a bit of my anatomy with it. i held the burned area under cold running water for 5 minutes. it stung really bad. i didn't go to the doctor since it wasn't big (1 cm by 0.5 cm). i just kept the area clean and didn't cover it so it would dry up quickly. it took about two weeks for the scab to fall off. i had the scar for 8 years or so. i can barely see it after almost 12 years.

I spilled hot milk on my stomach by accident, my skin came off. I had to put silvadine medication on it. Luckily it left no scar, but when it healed it was a different pigment from the rest of my skin..
Took about a year and half to look completley normal. looks normal now.
You have to see a doctor or you may have a scar or infection.

I put an ointment like Neosporin on it, and kept it covered; it did not scar at all. Burns scar least when they are kept moist, so be sure to keep the ointment on it and keep it covered to hold your body's own moisture at the site. My burn was small enough that I didn't feel a need to see a doctor; certainly if you feel that it is extensive enough, you should go to a doctor or ER.
