I have several cuts/scratches on my arm in one area, and i need to know the fastest way for them to heal without scarring ( I would like to wear short sleeves this summer! :-) ) They are not very deep at all, and are kind of almost like cat scratches, I have tried keeping gauze taped over it with neosporin over the scratches, but everytime I take them off to change it, I end up pulling skin off where the medical tape was, thus worsening the problem. For surface wounds, is a bandage even neccessary? They don't bleed at all, and are already closed. If a bandage and antibiotic would lessen the chances of scarring, I'll just deal with it. Thanks :-D

Your wound is going to heal faster without a dressing on it. Clean the area, pour on some hydrogen peroxide and leave "open"....OR you could clean the area, apply alcohol, let dry, and then top with neosporin....either way will work, and if there is a tiny scar left, you can put mederma or scar zone on it, they are very good for reducing scar size.

I'd leave them open to the air ...
a bandage only helps if active bleeding, or if they are in place that will be uncomfortable and you want to protect it from irritation.

natures way is to form a scab that drops off leaving clean skin underneath.

u don't need a band, all you have to do is not touch them under any circumstances and make sure you wash them with enough soap in the shower, if you touch them or take the "crust" off you'll make your skin struggle to heal it and as a consequence get a hideus scar, just don't pay attention to them and they'll dissappear faster than you think!

let it air while you sleep, cover it with triple antibiotic ointment (over the counter) and a bandage during the day. Clean when you wake up and when you go to bed.

Try super glue. It will close the scratch and keep bacteria and other septics out.
