I had a soccer tournament this weekend and while playing in a game on Saturday I was kicked pretty hard in the shin (right about the middle of my shin) it was really sore and painful to touch and so on but didn't really hurt when I ran. Then in our soccer game today i was kicked again in the same spot and now it hurts worse plus it hurts to walk. I have a big bruise where I got kicked and a bump is forming.
Could this be a fracture or anything that i need to worry about or is it just a bone bruise?
Thanks for any help!

You can not bruise bone as the structure is not vascular tissue. The "covering" (periosteum) could have been damaged.

Why are you not wearing shin guards?

Anything that is causing pain and swelling is harming your body and needs to be rested. I seriously doubt your bone is cracked. Your tibia (shin) is the strongest bone in your body and bares the most pressure. If it were cracked, you'd have MUCH pain in walking.

Rest and Ice. Compression here is difficult due to the locale and you don't want to put to much weight on it to create pressure. Elevation is still applicable here, not HIGH elevation.

If I were your coach, you would not be doing anything more than sitting until it was healed and you had proper gear.

This is not the way greenstick fractures usually happen. Also, depending on your age, its impossible.

Due watch for signs of stress fractures.

Whilst the pain could be caused by the pressure of bleeding under the skin, and I have no doubt that the bone has been "bruised" a green-stick fracture at the very least, is a real possibility. I would suggest you have your leg x-rayed as soon as you can. Meanwhile, elevate the leg and apply a cold compress. A bag of frozen peas wrapped in a tea towel works very well.

you wouldn't be running if you broke your tib - i do give you credit for knowing your bones at 14 you more than likely have just bruised your muscules really bad and rest and an ice pack every now and then is the only cure at this point however only an x ray and x ray tech are going to be the only ones to know if your leg is really truely broke or cracked

Because you had a high velocity injury and now can't weight bear, you should probably have an X-ray. You could have a fracture. See a doctor.

Gould be a shin splint, could be a greenstick (where the bone cracks but doesn't break)
