It sounds like your heart. You may have a problem. Please, please see a doctor or an emergency room. Don't play with this.

Call 911 NOW. It the pain is radiating to the left side of your chest, left shoulder or left arm, it could definitely be your heart.

There is no way to be sure without a proper examination that involves EKGs, blood tests and chest x-rays.

It might simply be a strained muscle. However, there is a heart condition called atypical angina which worsens with physical acitivity yet lessens with relaxation.

Anything involving your heart is potentially very serious.

Call now...don't wait.

Well, I'm no doctor, but I get pains like that every once in a while when I am fatigued. My doctor told me that it was no big deal, as these type of pains will come and go after a stressful workout. He called it something, but I really can't remember, but they only last a minute or two, and it's only when I inhale. But if you have had your pains for more than two hours now, I would consider calling your family doctor, especially if there is a history of heart disease in your family. It's probably nothing, but you can't risk anything with your heart, now can you?

This sounds more like muscle sprain more than a heart attack BUT, I would not take this lightly since the pain is still in the heart location.
Take an Aspirin and or Motrin and go to ER. They'll do an EKG and some blood work to check heart enzyme levels. You need to give more specific medical/family history like...Your age, family history of heart disease, smoking history, past history of heart disease/hypertension, history of high cholesterol etc?
Better safe than sorry!

If you are having chest pains following physical activity you need to go to an emergency room and have it checked out.

I don't know your age or if you are suffering from a cold or asthma, or your pecs are sore. Do you?
