Everything hurts. It hurts especially to swallow. Sherbet is the only thing that doesn't hurt. Seriously. Nothing helps. I've tried everything I can find. It only helps for about 30 seconds. Coughing hurts even worse. Medicine doesn't help and I can't talk. Not really, anyway. It only comes out as a horse whisper.

Why is it when you wake up early and you have less than an hour to sleep and your lucky enough to actually fall back asleep, it's the best sleep of the entire night. The alarm goes off and it's like "Damn, I was sleeping so good"

i had a laparoscopy done last thursday for my appendix, and the doctors also removed some tissue that was stuck to my intestine and to my lower abdominal, so its bn a week after the surgery and im still in a lot of pain, my back hurts a lot, and my right rib feels like its broken or something, and the doctors told me to drink naproxen which is making my stomach feel that burning sensation, so my question is...i wanna know if anyone that had a laparoscopy done felt the same way that im feeling???PLZZZZ ANY comments will be appreciated! thanks

I recently had a MRI and xray done on my back (referred by family doc) and it showed a protruding disk. I have been referred to an ortho. I started by seeing a chiropractor who also took xrays. If I remember correctly, he took xrays and said I had a bulging disk just above the sacrum. I would like to know if treated properly will I be able to do all the things I used to be able to do when I was a teen(32 now). I m currently trying to get into the Air National Guard. I have found that this diagnosis will enevitablly doom my chances of enlisment. Is there any hope for me?

My son woke up, yesterday morning, with a really swollen eyelid, and he does not have pink eye. The doctor checked his eyelid, and it is filled with blood. As the day went along, it filled more and more. The Dr. said she would drain it, today, if it was not better. It got worse, and more painful last night.

Are Americans overmedicated? Every time you look at TV or pick up a magazine, you see yet another ad for some magic drug that will cure whatever "disease" you have - can't sleep? we've got a drug! - sleep too much? we've got a drug!

And let's not even talk about the schools - discipline problems that used to be solved with detention and letters home are now "cured" with powerful narcotics!

Do you think that the drug companies are pushing a lot of unnecessary medication that's causing more harm than good?

Is America becoming a nation of legalized dope fiends?

The actual colored circle is okay but the pupil in it isnt exactly in the centre... Its like slightly higher than it should be, and slightly towards to nose (in each eye)... Is this due to a paralaz error while I stare at my eyes,,? Or an I going cross eyed.?? I wear contacts a lot but give my eyes rest a lot... Soo..?

I have neck pain and upper back and shoulder pain, a few different people recommended I go see an Osteopath. So I went yesterday - however what was an uncomfortable aching is now a sever, very very painful, can't move properly pain.

Is this right? I expected miracle cures (silly of me I know) but at no point did I think that the day after I'd have such pain in my neck particularly.

I really don't want to go again, it is quite expensive and at the moment I feel like it ha made things worse. But if it is normal to be sore the first time, then I guess I shouldn't be worried.
