i had a sore throat for a couple of days and this morning i woke up with that thing at the back of your throat completely swollen and i cant go to the doctor. but this is killer you feel like you have to hack something and then it moves on to your tongue and your ready to puke.. does anybody know a way to get rid of it.

well just so everybody knows i spoke with my doctor and he prescribed antibiotic-augmentin so hepefully this will help and make it disappear. ty for your input though

i think you should go to the doctor. it might be something like tonsillitis.
if you really don't want to go to the doctor, i'd recommend some tea. the warmth might decrease the swelling. and don't eat or drink anything cold or sweet. a lozenge might help too.

Sorry I think you should go to the Dr sounds like an infection.
