Has anyone knowledge of history of an eyelid filling with blood?

My son woke up, yesterday morning, with a really swollen eyelid, and he does not have pink eye. The doctor checked his eyelid, and it is filled with blood. As the day went along, it filled more and more. The Dr. said she would drain it, today, if it was not better. It got worse, and more painful last night.

ive never had my eyelid fill up with blood but a couple years back I had a cyst on my eyelid and it started bleeding and I had to get it removed. Just go back to the doctor...im sure it will be better after it has been drained. It was probably caused by the pink eye.
