This is totally up to your Dr. because it depends upon the injury and your body's reaction to cortizone. It sounds as though it has been long enough to have another shot. You might ask the doctor if you could have a prescription filled for cortizone before you take off on your cruise. Cruise doctors are horribly expensive, and mine have never seemed to know a lot. One cruise doctor examined my suddenly inflamed feet, and said I had shingles. Shingles, normally, go to one side of the body, and this was NOT shingles. It turned out to be a reaction to the dye in my shoes! But, I had to pay a lot of hundreds to get that wrong diagnosis while ship board.
