Hi,

First, let me tell you that I am a Christian. Second I strongly believe in the power of faith and the faith healings and miracles that have always occurred throughout history whether Biblical or otherwise. First hand my faith has been built up by God 's word (the Bible) and by his messengers, primarily preacher's over many years. For aprroximately 29 years I suffered to varying degrees with mental ilnness. I've was on various medications for almost 15 years and suffered severe pain after trying to come off my meds because I believed I was healed. God took me through a process for his glory and for my testimony to his 'realness' if you have faith, which comes indirectly from hearing and directly from God's revealed word, the Bible. There are countless stories of healings from pain, so called terminal pain. The bible says that God spoke the creation into existence. He said "Let there be light and there was light" I don't have time now to preach a whole message to you, but the Bible says also that Jesus Christ (God the Son) came and lived among men and women in the flesh, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell where he preached to the disobedient, and was ressurrected on the third day as he said he would by the power of God the Father and the Holy Spirit, was seen by many eyewitnesses was believed on by many and was taken up into glory. He will also return at the appointed end time to take with him all who believe upon him and with him of things spiritual and who line their lives up with his word. Doctors are great but they are only men and infallible. Medicine for all it's discoveries and miracles is so far an imperfect science as you probably are experiencing for some reason. My doctor told me that I could 'never' come off medication and in all his years had 'never' seen or heard of anyone, anywhere, anytime or anyplace healed of mental illness. This despite the fact that I had read testimonies of two persons, a female and a male on this same yahoo testimonials who had come off medication because they believed they could and were very determined to do so. 'Tony Orlando' the singer and other public figures have also come off medication even though they were in re-hab for some time. He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I saw him on cable sometime recently either 2005 or 2006? Let no one discourage you or make you doubt God or his methods. Let no one tell you they're all crazy these Jesus freaks. The mind is an amazing thing so be positive and believe and God will heal you of your excruciating pain, unless of course you want to be on pain medication for what doctors may say is an acute and possibly chronic reation to your surgery. You cannot afford to doubt him. Nothing spiritual happens without faith. As the Bible says, "Is anything too hard for the LORD?" God created man the Bible says from the dust of the ground and breathed into him the breath of life and he/[Adam] became a living being. Good luck in this episode of your life and I've already prayed for God to heal you and I am sure without any doubt that he will, all you need is a small measure of faith. Pray for it and read the accounts of Jesus Christ in the Bible and how he healed all who were brought to him for healing and more, of various illnesses. The Bible says, "Jesus Christ is 'the same' 'yesterday', 'today' and 'forever.' Please Note: By faith Donald Trump became a billionaire twice over. How's that for faith!

Naproxen is an anti-inflammatory, but it's not an antibiotic. Do you feel like you have an infection? Plenty of people do after surgery.
Me, I wouldn't worry who else is feeling like that, I would go right back to your doctor & say you are not doing well & you expected to recover a lot quicker.

Try taking the naproxen with food, or even some milk first?

I had one done before my hysterectomy. The surgery and incisions itself weren't too bad. But when they do this type of surgery, they inflate your insides with gas so they can access the organs they need to. Once they close you up, this gas flows up. It isn't the typical gas most think of. It seems to settle in under your ribs and in the shoulders. I had terrible pain in my upper body for about a week. The pain just has to dissipate. But if you are unsure, please check with your doctor. It's always best to check with a Dr. But I did experience pretty severe pain under my ribs and in my shoulders. I couldn't lay down for a week and had to sleep in a recliner in a sitting position.

Good luck!!

Rule #1: Don't ever ever wait. Go straight back to the doctor and tell him/her what you have just told us and get it FIXED. What you went through is supposedly a "normally straight procedure". The feeling that you have a broken rib is symptom of something else. You know your body better than anyone - go and tell that doc that you want to know what;s going on - TODAY if not sooner!
It's the abdominal tissue removal - read ALL of your medical records and talk to ALL of the people involved. And DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!

what did you tell your Dr. on your weekly follow up visit after the surgery?

Pretty sure you're experiencing scar tissue issues which sometimes will take a while to heal.
