General Health Care - January 2007

My hand is swollen. I can't turn my hand over with out pushing it with the over hand. I but i can still move all my fingers. i hurt it a week ago origninally and there was a load pop crack noise when i tried to pick up some books later that day. then yesterday i played volleyball and i hurts even more i don't know what i have done to it but is hurts to write and type with the hand.

The other day i was bench pressing and towards the end i was straining to get one more rep. On the last rep i felt a weird feeling in the back of my head like something popped. It was hurting a lot n i felt dizzy. Now for the past week ive been getting headaches. Is this serious?

I just had my first child born in Oct '06, I took epidural anesthesia when i was 2.5 cm dilated because of pain intolerance, and mine was a prolonged labor of 15 hours. Now, I have pain in my lower extremities, hip areas, thighs, and ankles. My mom has severe osteoarthritis, and her legs are curved towards in. NOW MY FEAR IS WHETHER I WILL ALSO GET THE SAME PROBLEMS AS OF MY MOMS' and IF MY PAIN IS BECAUSE OF THE EPIDURALS TAKEN DURING DELIVERY? I'm very much scared and concerned about this, Please answer me.

She takes one every day but when i ask why she just says its for her pain. But she doesnt seem to be in any real pain. I would ask her mom but her mom is a drunk and i cant ever talk to her because she is so out of it all the time.

Well, I cant walk on my left leg because it hurts on the side if my knee. And when I sit down My knee gets "locked". It also hurts if u touch the sides of my knee but usually the right side. What do u think it could be? Any good websites? My mom doesn't want to see a doctor. Would it be best to see one? I have school tomorrow, what should I do? WIll they just give me crutches?

i get them alllllll the time! woohoo! is there a pill that specifically treats migraines, because aspirin, ibuprofen aint cutting it. is excedrin migraine good? i just bought some of that... are there any good prescription medications i could get, any good ones?

I have hip bursitis so bad that I am on oxycontin 20mg 2 times day. I also have severe lower back arthritis. I posted a short time ago about the meds I was, and am, on now. The orthopedic surgeon I was seeing had only done this surgery (removing the bursa on a hip) 1 time. He would not do it as he believed my arthritis was causing the hip problem and sent me to a neurosurgeon who said my back arthritis had nothing to do with my hips. He wants me to go to a different ortho doc. Has ANYONE had this surgery and does it take the pain away? I can only sleep about 2 hours each night before the pain in my hips and back are just unbearable. Hense the medications. I have allready went the physical therapy route which only helps very little. Thanks so much.

It is really bothersome, and I'm worried because in the summer, I will be going on a expedition to New Mexico, where I will need to carry a 35 lbs. backpack up mountains, and I really don't want my back hurting then...

i am 15 yrs old, and my knees and hips hurt soooo bad! there is no swelling, and i get this pain every time i am subjected to the cold or i put a certain amount of stress on it, they hurt like HECK!!! anyone have any advice?!?!?
