You should always wash your hands after using the bathroom, before handling food, before eating, after sneezing into your hand, before handling a newborn, after changing diapers, emptying trash, loading the dishwasher, brushing the dog, and ANY OTHER TIME you have handled anything you know is contaminated with germs.

as many times as you can. Germ that cause illness are everywhere. I wash mine after coughing sneezing using a toilet before cooking and after handleing raw meats before I eat after using a phone that other people use and after going anywhere public. But then I have immunosuppressed children and tend to be a little obsessive about it
