Healing usually takes 6 to 8 weeks of immobilization depending on age, activity, and compliance of the patient. It may take longer for some folks.

Everyone I knew who broke bones were in casts or the big braces (walking casts) for 6 weeks to 3 months. You will probably have atrophy in the limb and it will be hard to move it so you will need psychical therapy, when there's a bad enough leg injury or surgery they can keep you out of sports for a year, I know a girl who got hurt in like July or August (she had that injury women tend to get more than men to a muscle or ligament) and she was out till like march, which was the end of the season and that year they went to state. I felt terrible for her. They said she was capable of playing by then but she sat out so long she didn't play because she had to sit out all the practices.

6 weeks minimum depending on the type of fracture. It will be a couple of months before you can play football again...if that is what you were doing. Athletics may be 2-3 months off.

well you have to see a doctor first. then it depends on how serious it's broken, also some people heal faster then the others, so it will vary for each and every person.
