The stitches themselves should all dissolved by now-- but the tenderness can remain for a while since you had quite a few.
With my oldest daughter, I had numerous stitches and I was tender and sore for about 6 months afterwards. I've talked to other moms who were sore for up to a year.
Ask your doctor how you are healing and if he recommends something to help.

Congrats on your new baby!!

with both of my kids it was 4-6 weeks. I learned a trick soothe the itchy tender feeling. After bathing take a lamp and let the heat of the bulb completely dry the area instead of trying to rub or pat dry.

after 4 weeks they shoud be starting to dissolve and drop off.I trust they are epesiotomy stitches. If they are itchy try taking a warm soak in the bath. dry carefully..with a hand mirror have a look and see whats going on there you probably will be having a check by your Dr soon..at least you better...and get them looked at.

I think it would probably be different for each person and would depend on how your body chemistry works.
