I've been taking Vicodin for about 3 years now, and I would like to stop it, or at least cut way down, but I can't seem to do it. Whenever I stop, I feel terrible, hurt, and my legs feel really wired & weird. I have major anxiety/agorophobia problems that it has helped with tremendously. (I've also taken Xanax for years.) But started the Vicodin due to a back/neck injury and then fibromyalgia. I hate to think I'm too weak to just kick it, but it's been a God save to me to be able to get in my car and leave my house and drive without having a major panic attack. I've seen several different doctors over the years for the anxiety probs, and they all just want to start new meds..and none have helped. But I'm at the point that I am taking waaay too much of the Vicodin to get the same effect. If anyone has had a similar experience and has found anything that could help me, I would sure appreciate it. It's embarrasing for me to talk to any of my friends about this. Thank You~

I get really bad ear-ache while jogging or exercising, specially in cold weather. Is this common ?

Is there any way I can prevent this myself, or do I need to see a doctor ?

My daughter's friend came to visit over xmas break and stayed a couple of nights. The child left and next day my daughter and I had and still have LICE. I called the mother to tell her we had it so she could check her child and she said , "I thought T___'s lice was gone before she came to your house ". I could not believe she had done that. She did not even mention this or give us a heads up, a choice to say "no"!
It's been since last Tuesday and we cannot get rid of them. We have used RID, Mayo, Tea tree oil, even a concoction of baby oil, vodka and leave in hair conditioner. Every day I wash a mountain of laundry, vaccuum with fresh bags the car, furniture, floors, even myself sometimes so I don't re-infest when moving from room to room. I cannot do my own head so I have to get help with "nit-picking". My daughter's not able to return to school and we still have LICE!!! I don't know what to say to the Mom but I feel I need to say something. Any suggestions or legal advice?

I discovered 6 years ago that I was not long able to keep tight closed the middle finger of my right hand, lately it spreads because I feel pins and needles and some pain in the top fingers of my right hand. I do write a lot at my job and use the computer although not a lot, I am 53 years old. There is no family history of arthritis in my family. could it be just ear and tear or arthritis? is it worth going to GP I understand there is no cure for arthritis so why bother going to the Doc? Thanks

My question was not answered the last time.

Usually, they don't strip you in ordinary private hospitals in India unless necessary. Is it necessary to strip my friend for putting a rod in his lower leg where he had a fracture?

Also, I haven't asked him, but since he has a plaster on, does his attendant strip him for defecation? Does he has to be wiped by the attendant too? And does someone need to change his underwear too while he is in plaster?

My husband was working under the car last night and antifreeze splashed him on the outside of his eyelid. He washed it really good. He said it was sore last night and feeling a little swollen. When he woke up this morning it was very swollen and red near his eyelashes. Says it does not hurt, it is just anoying and ugly. There is no head on it. How can I take care of it? Could it be a stye?

I have felt other peoples head and they dont have them and I looked up pictures of skulls on the internet and they look smooth and flat. I am 22 years old and I never have been in any kind of accident dealing with my head. Is my skull falling apart. I am really freaked out by this. Is there anybody out there with the same thing ? thanks

Ive had Major TMJ (TMD) for years now, and been able to handle the pain ok with shiatsu and essential oils. Occasionally I will have to take pain killers to relax the muscles on bad days. Today -I've got a different kind of pain - behind my eye. Pain killers aren't working, oils arent working, heat/ice arent working. Should I go the Hospital or get my Shiatsu therapist to work on it? Whenever I move my eye a certain way it sends a sharp pain. Whats your opinion?

the ped says he's going to be like 6'4 or something like that. Right now he's 5'7. Do you think the knee pain is growth-related or should we shcedule an appointment with the orthopedist for him?
Has any of you suffered from that?

I have Mono and my throat/ear/nose/face are in agonizing pain when I try to swallow or burp. The doctor prescribes Vicodin for pain relief, but it's not really working. I'm also on two other prescriptions (Methilprednisone and Amoxicillian). I'm supposed to have food with all of these meds, but if I can't swallow, what am I supposed to do? I'm very frustrated. I just want to eat something.

Can I take Advil to buffer the Vicodin? Should I go back to the clinic (of course it was an urgen care, not my regular dr.)? Will they think I'm some drug addict if I go in and ask for something stonger?

I'm at a loss, please advice.

It all began over a month ago when i was exercising doing some side crunches in the air (on a back extension machine). During the exercise i got some sharp pains in my lower left side. Ever since then i'm having a dull pain in my side daily and sometimes it is even sharp (rarely). My question is what could cause this ? and please don't answer if you are going to just say "go to a doctor". Of course i already have an appointment

Well I dont remember exactly when it started I know that it has been hurting for at least a month, see I do Capoeira in November I took a month break and started again last December, on the day I came back it was not really class day so we did not warm up and went on to kicking etc right off the bat.

I think this may have been it, my knee pain has been bad it hurts when I walk, specially when I bend down or walk up/down stairs. It also makes popping noises from time to time.

I feel like I need to go to the doctor and get xrays and an mri. Thee problem is my mom is not in a stable economic situation at this moment and we have no health insurance I asked her if we could at least go to a family doctor and she said maybe.

My question is, is there anything I can do to prevent further injury to my knee, and is it worth spending money on a family doctor who will probably tell my mom to go to an orthopedic surgeon or go to an orthopedist right away?

Okay i didn't get 2 finish that ?, but i found out that i have scoliosus around the end of last year and when they checked me out they said that my spine was crooked inward toward my back instead of straight. My back was hurting sooo much then so i kinda tilted my hands to make it feel better when i bended down for the doctor's. But now my back still hurts and when i bend down my shoulder's aren't crooked. My mom says that she'll only take me back if i swore that i wasn't faking my shoulder's. I promised her that i wasn't, and that i did it cuz i was in pain, but she says to give it some time if my back is lightening up. It isn't though, it hurts still. So what do i do, about any of this?

Yeah i know go to the dr. but i have been. its a constant pain sometimes dull annoying sometimes down right painful. its about halfway down the ribcage on the right side to a little past your waist line. i cant sleep on my right side too long or it hurts when i turn i wince. I avoid wearing tight or normal fitting pants cause it hurts. dr said it may be urinary tract because after a pee test he saw traces of blood. well got my period the next day may be the reason. I know its not a syatic nerve because its not in the spot where i get them. he gave me muscle relaxers but pain still there. I dont really care for my dr he is new i just moved in the area. will take a while for another dr to be available. I did have a ultrasound on my liver and it said ihave a fatty infiltrate whatever that means. they didnt follow up with another appointment so i thought nothing of it. is this having to do with my liver? should i go to the ergent care center or just give this dr another shot.?

My best friend has been in pain since Wednesday evening. She started with her head hurting (but not like a headache) she said it feels as if someone is squeezing her head really hard. The pain has gone into her neck all the way down to her lower back. She has taken numerous things for pain and NOTHING helps. I was thinking her wisdom tooth could be causing a problem but would that be the cause of all the other pain? She said her mouth doesn't hurt. Any ideas??? I am really nervous about this!

I take singing lessons and recently had an exam. I was really nervous, butterflies in stomach, kness trembling, etc, but during one of my pieces i actually felt a burning feeling in my chest, like sudden warmth and tingling, right in the middle of my chest.
What I would like to know is has anyone else ever felt this when they were nervous or something? And does anyone know what it could be?
