She really need's to go to her doctor.If her feet and calves are swelling she is retaining water for some reason..

The same symptoms drove me to the Doctor several years ago. I was diagnosed with diabetes. I hope it isn't the case but if she is having any loss of feeling or tingling in her legs and feet it needs to be checked out yesterday...

I'll tell you straight up, diabetes is NO FUN at all but neuropothy is even less. Neuropothy is nerve damage brought on by out of control sugar levels in the blood.

Just don't try to wait for it to get better. If it is diabetes and neuropothy, it won't get better. The only way is down so go see the Dr. as soon as you possibly can.

Possibly hypertension(high blood pressure) my mother's calves used to swell and retain water when her blood pressure was really high. Just a thought...

Highly recommend seeing a doctor, to main reasons for leg odema is hypertension and cardiac failure. If it is there are plenty that can be done with medications

If she's over 60 I'd be concerned about congestive heart failure. If she's that age range have her see a doctor asap.

I agree with Hypertension, she should cut down on her salt intake and see a doctor.

Did she travel in plane lately? If so it will go away on its own.
