im an anesthesiologist so im quite familiar with analgesics, the newer cox2 analgesics ( celecoxid, parecoxid, rofecoxid) are potent analgesics that does not cause erosion of the gastric mucusa , non-sedating opiods ( tramadol ) can also be used alone or in combination with the cox2 group of drugs, avoid mefenamic acid, diclofenac, ketoprofen or any other (NSAID) non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs as this are very notorious for eroding the gastric mucosa... meanwhile i suggest doing something about your ulcer... but that should be another question you can ask the forum, hopefully a gastroenterologist can answer your question then... thanks

H. Pylori is not the cause of an ulcer...never was, and never will be nor would you or could you make the h. pylori diagnosis without seeing a doctor! Of course you should see a doctor so you can be tested for your alleged ulcer! You don't know what you're talking about here and that's dangerous! When you say "pain killers" it conjures up much more than Ibuprofen! Stop self diagnosing and get to a doctor before you perforate your stomach!

I know a Friend that had a bad back for a long time. His psyatic nerve was affected,he was in agony.Pain was so great that morphine didn't help much 30 min.He started exercising his back by pushing on a hand rail of a guardrail fence. Started at 10 day.
He then go to where he was doing 50 at a time several times a day. After about 4 months that pain was gone .Your back is
not used very much. One side can get weaker than the other. This causes muscle spasms and pain.Exercise it .Research it.

I am a PA-C in Illinois and if you were my pt I would prescribe Narco 3.5mg Hydrocodone and 350mg Acetomenophen. I would also prescribe for the ulcer probably Prevacid 30mg or OTC Pepcid. Depending on your level of pain would determine the amount or dosage of the hydrocodone. Hope it helps.

I can get bad back and when i went doc he suggested that i have accupuncer( cant spell it) but its when you have lots of pins in your back and it helps releave pressure. I was pregnant and wasnt to go through with it at the time but am now thinking about it. Also your doc might refer to to a phisio who'll help you.
With a stomach ulser theres not many other options but id go ask doc and i bet hel put you to see a phisio

Best bet is to see your doctor. If you need painkillers fast get some advice from NHS direct.
Just avoid anything with ibuprofen in it as this can aggravate the stomach.
