There is some good news for you. One day I spoke with a doctor who specializes in arthritis (took my G-pa to an appointment) and he informed me that "popping" or "cracking" of joints does not cause arthritis. Although I am not sure if any other problems will be caused. I still "pop" just about every bone in my body too. I have tried stopping but it's hard to undo 28 years of snap, crackle, pop......

I am 42 years old and have been snapping, cracking and popping my whole life. My knuckles are not enlarged, and I have no problems with any joints. My joints do feel better after I crack them. Asked a doctor one time about it, he said that it is quite normal. There are little pockets of lubricant at each joint, the popping is opening these pockets and relubricating the joint making it easier to move, and it does not cause any long term problems. So keep on popping!

Spend your time instead doing stretches or take up pilates. It would be better for you to get into lengthening your muscles.
