Depends on how it is pinched .
If the muscle just twisted it , yes , stretch gently while in a hot tub would probably help.
IF , however , it is the result of a pinch from a spinal disc bulging and pinching the sciatic nerve . . . no .
Those pinches often result in sharp hip , knee and foot pain as the sciatic nerve is pinched & all the downstream points suffer.
Stongly suggest you get a job with health insurance NOW and do not discuss the issue until after you are covered.

Simply put. The pinched nerve is a regular occurance in most people due to not streching properly during the day. You should really streach several times daily in various ways. Try cat streches in the morning, lunch and dinner for five minutes. Try reaching as high as you can with one hand at a time in alternating fashion. All streches do is provide more room between the tendants and the muscle, allowing the nerve to move and rotate naturally. We tend to have liited movement when it comes to everyday activity, so loosen up and stretch a bit. Don't expect results in five minutes but rather give it two to three days. It has taken several days to compress and shrink the area, so give it time to expand again. Another fine tool and excersise machine is the upside down bed, that hangs you inverted for several minutes at a time. This stretches out the vertibrae at the back of your neck and lower back. Have a good day.

This is what I would do.
Start to do some slow stretching.
For the problem you are having I would cross one foot over the other and bend slowly at the waist and try to touch your toes.
Then switch feet and do the other.
Strong muscles work wonders for our nerves, spine and pain.

That doesnt sound like a pinched nerve to me, but try laying on
the floor on your tummy and get somebody to push on different
areas of your spinal cord.

Try stretching. Sometimes just hanging from a door works. Grip the top of the door and slowly let yourself hang. Best of luck

Half of californians dont have insurance...but they get treated! Go to the ER, and get help. Maybe it is a sciatica nerve issue?
Good Luck

it's called sciatica. Try lying on your back and pulling your knee up to your chest and holding a stretch. Try hot pads, try ice, try tiger balm or ben gay, take ibuproffen. All this may or may not help.
