General Health Care - January 2007

Hi, I had 2 vials of steroids and local anesthetic injected into my neck and shoulders today, and I feel extremely dizzy and I'm in a LOT of pain (2.5 hours later). Even moreso than when I got Botox injected into the same muscles. Is that normal? My hearing seems a little off too. A lot of my doctors have said that have the tightest muscles they've ever felt (post whip-lash injury), could that be why? Could the muscles just be really irritated from the 12-15 injections I got? Thank you!

I'm really tall for my age...5'5'' 1/2, and I am 12. The only thing is that I can't touch my toes...whenever I stretch my legs to touch them it hurts. This isn't sudden or anything, I haven't been able to touch my toes since like 3rd grade. The only time I could was when i was like four and my legs were like right in front of me. Obviously this isn't normal...HELP!

How can i stop him from squirming ? Can i sit him on my lap ?

I burned my self with hot water after accidentally opening my coffee maker lid a few days ago. The scolding hot water spit out, hit the top half of my breast and left a quarter size scar. Here's my issue... The skin tissue was burned through. It's white, not deep, not puffy or filled with puss like other burns. It's sore, but it doesn't hurt much like other burns. I covered it with gauze and a triple antibiotic cream as well as a burn cream I found in my first aid kit. I'm concerned it will scar. The border skin was blistered a bit--but it's healing nicely. The white part however is still damp to the touch. It's not infected, but it hasn't scabbed over yet. What should I do? Wait a few more days, or head to the doctor?

I have bad knee pain(13 and play tons of sports) my parents are out of town until tomorrow night so im staying home alone tonight and my friend who lives up the street is bringing me to a b-ball game tomorrow. I really need help. ONLY serious people please. I have had a tooth that has needed a root canal for a while now. I had it cleaned once and they put a temp filling and meds in it back in December. My root canal was scheduled for April! (My insurance sucks! I can only go to one dentist and they are bookled soilid all the time!) Well, I just went to the dentist at 9:45 yesterday because I was in such severe pain. It turns out that she didn't do it right and now the infection is in my bone! I am on antibiotics and Vicodin and Ibuprofen. I have been taking 600mg of ibuprofen every 4 hours and 500/5 mg of vicodin every 4 hours according to my bottle. It isn't making the pain go away, but the right side of my body keeps falling asleep. I am not overdosing. I am taking the perscribed amount! I don't know what to do. I can't have the pain, but is it normal for my arm and leg to fall asleep? Please Help! ASAP!
