I burned my self with hot water after accidentally opening my coffee maker lid a few days ago. The scolding hot water spit out, hit the top half of my breast and left a quarter size scar. Here's my issue... The skin tissue was burned through. It's white, not deep, not puffy or filled with puss like other burns. It's sore, but it doesn't hurt much like other burns. I covered it with gauze and a triple antibiotic cream as well as a burn cream I found in my first aid kit. I'm concerned it will scar. The border skin was blistered a bit--but it's healing nicely. The white part however is still damp to the touch. It's not infected, but it hasn't scabbed over yet. What should I do? Wait a few more days, or head to the doctor?

Let it dry out and just keep a dressing on it when you need to;
There isnt much you can do about scarring, just use the cocoa butter like Bmac suggests;

Nothing the doctor can do about scaring. When the burn heals, get a pure stick of cocoa butter. You can get them at the drug store. MUST be a stick and must say "Pure Cocoa Butter." No cocoa butter lotions or creams. That will keep it from scaring. Do it several times a day until it's gone. It really works.

Since you've already waited this long and the burn doesn't seem to be infected, then I think you're safe to wait it out. If it does show signs of infection or starts hurting more, then seek a doctors care immediately. Good luck.

If you have any kind of burn I think you should tell the Doctor even if it is a tiny burn.

Sounds like you are keeping it too moist.Try uncovering it and letting some air get to it.
