You are kind of young to have carpel tunnel...however, it is not unheard of. Go to the doc and get checked out. There are things you can do to prevent it from getting worse, if you do have it.

Carple Tunnel. Try this: get a friend to tap on your wrist lightly with some object similar to a reflex hammer about two finger lengths up from the palm on the thumb side a bit towards the middle. If this causes pain then you may have carple tunnel. Even if it does not cause pain you could still have this.

Do you play video games a lot, PS2 Xbox etc?. If so you may have repetitive strain injury from holding the controller too tight for too long. Do you sit correctly at the computer keyboard? Don't worry it is probably minor and will sort itself out.

It's possible you have a strain or sprain. You don't say if there's swelling if there is ice it. Even if there isn't ice it anyway and see if it helps. Arthritis can cause pain but you are probably too young for that. Have your Dr. check it out.
