Hang in there. It's one of the side effects of withdrawals. Smoking curbs our appetite, and when we quit, our appetite seems to grow and fast. Good luck. Maybe if you drink plenty of water, and eat non fattening foods or snacks it will get you by until the urge settles down.

Food tastes better when you aren't smoking. But don't confuse boredom with hunger. A lot of people gain a lot of weight when they quit. They miss having something to put in their mouths (you know what I mean) so they eat instead. If you are really hungry, then eat something. If you really aren't, chew a piece of gum.

chewing gum really can help but, if you must eat
choose fresh fruit or veggies and dip, tortillas and
salsa, a pudding cup or frozen yogurt if in between
meals.
if possible just get up and do something fold laundry,
put clean dishes away, take a walk, anything that will
keep you too busy to eat and help you become more
active will be extremely beneficial at this difficult time.

good for you and good luck

Take that energy and have sex. Looking for something to put in your mouth as a substute, I know it sounds crass, but I mean... isnt it obvious? Besides a good orgasm releases endorphins and relaxes you. Is it so wrong?
