I am doing a research project ( keep in mind that I'm a freshman) on a disease of my choice. I am looking for something interesting but not complicated and hard to understand. Your ideas would be greatly appreciated = ]

My TSH was .02 on the 5th day past ovulation(conception), and I'm now 17 days pregnant. Based on the low value of .02, my endo asked me to stop taking the 50mcg/day syntrhoid now, but I know pregnant women usually need thyroid meds increase instead of decrease or even stopping taking meds as the endo suggested. I do not have any symtoms of synthroid overdose, except heartburn that might come from pregnancy. My heart rate is 80/minute, and I usually have constipation rather than diarrhea. I requested a new thyroid test to see the new TSH, but the doc insisted on putting me off synthroid for 3 weeks and retest by then???? What should I do? I heard it's dangerous to stop taking synthroid while pregnant and the most important thing is I do not have any symtoms of overdose, I have pretty normal heart rate and I feel tired & sleepy all the time.

Any input is highly appreciated.

I am so sick of being fat. I had a left thyroid lobectomy over a year ago. Now I only have half a thyroid, my meds are all screwed up, and I can't lose a pound to save my life. How do you lose weight with a sick thyroid?

had a ANA test it came back normal. I can't get enough sleep tired all the time. the sun affects my skin. could this still be lupus with a normal ana test? help!

Last night I had some pain in my stomach but i ignored it because I thought i could sleep through it but it woke me up after about a half hour and it had gotten a lot worse it was unbearable pain....I'm usually very tolerable to pain anyways I stayed up then I took some advil and after a half hour or so the pain went away completely yet my stomach was tense then I had a good night of sleep when I woke up (four hours later) the pain was still gone but my stomach was still tense to the right of the navel but not too the left....well now the pain is starting to return so just took some more advil and hope that will settle my stomach down enough for school tomorrow....Symptoms: :I have a loss of appetite, weak,walking and standing causes discomfort and tense stomach muscles (right of navel), sort of feverish....so suggestions would be very helpful, also if someone told me the procedure from going to the hospital and to surgery and time length.(this is was all within a 18 hour period)

I was on Antibiotics for over 3 weeks and I did some really HARD coughing. I had lost my voice during that time and was very hoarse. My Voice is slowly returning but almost 6 weeks later and I am still hoarse, I am wondering is this normal...

I have heard that only a small percentage of autism is familial autism, meaning the dad was in his twenties and there were other relatives or siblings who are autistic.

I have a condition where my heart goes stupidly fast and i pass out. Am on medication and much better but passed out today at work, i've told people to just leave me and step over me. Iam really embarrassed anyone else have similar probs (what would you do)

ok so these white smelly things coming out of my throat are tonsil stones, right? well I can feel it back there and can't get it out. How can I get it out? I have a horrible gag reflex and I can't see it back there so I am not sure how to get it out but it is driving me crazy... someone with this problem please help... crazy how common this is!

Three days ago I ate some British food. After a day of puking and two more of extreme nausia I'm starting to feel normal.

For the last three months, I get pain in my stomach 1-3 hours after eating food. Its a burning sensation. Now I've started getting pain all the time - it has changed and is more like a stomach cramp like when you have food poisoning. No other adverse affects. Regular as clockwork too! I have to wait three days for the doctors appointment which is a problem as I cant eat!!! What is wrong with me?
