ok so these white smelly things coming out of my throat are tonsil stones, right? well I can feel it back there and can't get it out. How can I get it out? I have a horrible gag reflex and I can't see it back there so I am not sure how to get it out but it is driving me crazy... someone with this problem please help... crazy how common this is!

You have quite an infection there! Green tea and red clover extract for that problem! Also, tablespoons of grapeseed oil will wipe out most throat infections. It will take a few days but it will work. Gargle with antiseptic, also. If you can stand it, raw garlic too (make sure you brush afterwards!)

Gargling with warm salt water will help disolve the "stones". Hosing down the tonsils with a water pik will help too. But if they're recurrent, a last resort, if they really bother you, is a tonsillectomy. Although, I had my tonsils out about 30 years ago and I still get them once in a while, but not nearly as much as I used to.

I have read that people who get those a lot use water piks to clean out the tonsils...also try to avoid dairy products (they can aggrevate it) and stay clear of mouthwashes w/ a lot of alcohol in them

Ive always found gargling with warm salt water does the trick... doesnt taste good but it works:)

i used to dig them out with q-tips, then i finally got my tonsils out 2 years ago, it has been wonderful. The recovery was worse than childbirth, but it was well worth it! good luck!
