I was pretty much a paraplegic for like a year and a half. Both wrists gave out at the same time to the point that I couldn't even eat or bathe. It's been a long road and I'm alot better but the swelling never went away. Any suggestions on how to manage swelling in the hands.

My sister in law was taken to hospital on Tuesday and has been on life support ever since (she had a grade 4). She had a brain operation (clipping) on Thursday which apparently went well. The doctors are not really giving any indication on what will happen next. They are fitting a traceonctomy (bad spelling) today and plan to try and wake her tomorrow. My brother is so worried and no one knows what will happen. has anyone ever suffered from a ruptured aneurysm?

its at the bottom of my neck on the right hand side and feels like a pea under the skin with another smaller one next to it. when you feel it moves around, could this be a gland? i've been ill with a cold for over a week. i've booked in with the doctor on thursday but just wondered if anyone had any ideas of what it could be?

my brother who is 20 years old, vomits at least twice a week during the night, he doesnt drink, and even when he doesnt eat in the evening he is still sick. im afraid it could be a stomach ulcer, but he wont listen to me, what could it be?

It started yesterday, and I don't know what it is, it sounds like a UTI but I'm not sure. It burns when I pee and it burns afterwards. When I do pee not much 'comes out'. I feel I need to pee all the time too. Oh, and would lubrication have the same effect? Thank you, sorry its a rather 'personal' question, but I wanted to make sure before asking my Mom.

Doctor told me that I have some liver problems but I shouldn't worry about it until I turn like 60 or something. I think that doctor was crazy to say that, over the phone by the way, but right now I can't afford another one. The blood tests cost a fortune! I paid 400 dollars to get my blood tested before and got that lame answer. Do you think I can go to the clinic, ask for the results and take them to another doctor?

I'm looking for something to take as a preventative medicine, not something like rolaids that you take just before you eat a meal. I want something you take every day like Prilosec but i was trying to stay away from it because its soooooo expensive. Is there anything else non-prescription? At the store the other day almost every single antacid was a "take before you eat" pill....

I had one removed in Oct. There were 3 polyps, but only one was pre-cancerous. The docs are telling me this is highly unusual and it's just not seen. I want to know if I am likely to get cancer. I get scoped again next month.

Hi, over the past 2 months i've been experiencing terrible stomach pain and the only relief i have is lying down for about 45 mins until it calms down. I've taken an ultrasound and blood test but all results have come back negative...also my doctor said i may have an ulcer however i don't have any symptoms of an ulcer such as vomiting, blood..etc
My stomach seems to only hurt whenever I'm eating a meal and it forces me to stop because of the pain. Another thing is that i don't believe it is related to gas because I've already taken stuff like "ENO" and the pain hasn't stopped nor is it stress because personally i dont have much to worry about.I dont have any history of health problems,i'm in very good shape and i'm 15 years old, also it feels as if i have a shortage of breath because if i try n play a sport i cant run as much as i usally would....what could be wrong??

My aunt passed away with a disease called A-plastic Anemia? Is this heriditory? Also please explain what exactly this is? I do know it has something to do with the blood!!!! i'm the only person in my house who got a flu shot and now im the onlyone to get the flu. but thats not the weird thing, the wave of sicknes hit me incredibly fast within (this was late yesterday) about a hour and a half i became increddibly sick, i go t verry achey hungry cold, and had arunny nose when jus t a few hours ago i was fine. and it seems to be going away fast also ive noticed alot improvement today. and ive had a highg fever and evrything. i just hope im over it by this week cuz spring break is a week away and i cant ski if im sick.
Do you think its another strain of the flu?Or do you think that the shot is helping me fight it off so fast?

He's had a lot of stress lately from work, which made him not want to take his blood pressure meds for a week. He also suffers from hypertension, heart disease and COPD. Where could this memory loss have come from. I've heard rumors that for some statin drugs have an affect on their memory. Could it be a blood clot in my father's case or something else. My father did visit the doc recently he just got rid of one of his meds which wasnt the statin drug. He's suppose to see him again this wednesday to see how he's doing. To me he's been the same. Anyone have any suggestions? Please anything is something.
