Hold on--first let me ask you a few questions--do you eat artificially sweetened foods--chemical sweetners like sweet and low or whatever--they are poison for some people. How about MSG--lots of msg is used in products--monosodium glutamate---read the labels--it is a BAD poison for some.High fructose cornsyrup is bad--usually in iced tea and soda. How do you know they are Migraines--could be sinus, could be bad fitting shoes affecting the back muscles and the neck. Eyes been checked?? Look OK but the strain of ocular muscles can hurt real bad. Go to the doctor but check the food allergy thing--takes a month to get the results of a diet change--but you do it all on your own--probably a food problem--try it for a month--stop all white flour--junk food, sugar--eat healthy---you really have to try but it works. feel better and good luck

Please make an appt. with your regular dr. asap to get started on this. He/she will ask you questions about your symptoms, how often they occur, etc. Stress can be a factor in getting migraines. They are also hereditary. Tests could include, a CAT Scan, and possibly (in fact you can request this of your dr) to see a neurologist. The hand/eye coordination test (like drunk drivers get) is one test the specialist can do. Other than those things, I'm not sure what other tests if any, would be done. I wish you the best. Take care.

I suffer from migraines, I have atleast 8 a month. I talked with my doctor, and she asked me what kind of symptoms I have, and I told her. She believes my migraines are from my salt intake (my blood pressure was good) I just wrote down what I eat throughout a week, and everything that I eat has a lot of sodium in it. She prescribed me some meds, and told me try and not to eat a lot of sodium. I did now I may have 1 migraine every 2 months. Talk with your doctor.

visit your doctor and get a referral to a neurologist.
keep a headache diary for about 2 weeks -write the foods you eat and what you do, include colds, changes to your routine, and your menstrual cycle. note each day if you have a migraine. be sure to list the symptoms and duration and what meds help.

Ha! Ha! Interesting additional comment.
Try putting your head on the floor so that some blood get to it. Do it once a day. Once you get more blood circulation to your head, your migraines may go away.
Stay away from coffee or caffeine.

You soon know if you get migraines they are pretty unmistakable. You get stinking painful headaches accompanied with nausea.
