I am starting dental school this summer. I have been out of school for a couple of years and I need to focus BIG TIME. What can you tell me about Adderall and how easy it is to obtain LEGALLY? Dental schools track this stuff so I have to be legit about it.

Adderall & Adderall XR contain a mixture of amphetamines. In the U.S. it is a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, which the most highly regulated class of prescription drugs. A new written prescription is needed each and every time.

If you have been diagnosed with ADHD getting a physician to prescribe it for you should not be a problem, just make an appointment with your doctor and go from there. If you don't suffer from ADHD, it'll be more difficult, because basically you'd have to lie to your doctor - this behavior you should examine.

Besides the ethical and legal issues, if you don't suffer from ADHD, you would be taking a mixture of amphetamines and get the resulting "speed effect." However, tolerance/tachyphylaxis would develop quickly and you'd need to take more and more over time. Do yourself a favor and think this through. Getting involved with this drug could derail your budding dental career before it even gets started.

I hope this helps. Be well.

Please dont use!!!!!! It messed my life up... I was focused but it caused high Blood pressure, tremors and shaking, I could not wake up with out because it is also used to treat narcolepsy so in the mean time I got very addicted to it... This was the biggest regret for a medicine I have ever heard of. I am having the probs now! I just stopped taking it last week!!! Oh and you cant stop sweating! I stopped it for 3 years and I did not stop it the whole time! I never had probs without it! The only reason I started it again was cuz I was going back to school, but my BP got too out of control! Check out other meds before you decide on any one!
