My aunt passed away with a disease called A-plastic Anemia? Is this heriditory? Also please explain what exactly this is? I do know it has something to do with the blood!!!! A Doctors answer would be greatful, but if anyone knows of this and or had a family die of this , plzzz feel free to give me some input if you will... ty.. :)

aplastic anemia is anemia caused by deficient red cell production due to bone marrow disorders.
anemia itself is not a disease but rather a symptom of other diseases.
if the underlying cause is treatable, the prognosis for recovery is good.
it may be hereditary.

Aplastic Anemia is a problem with the bone marrow in the production of red blood cells.

The condition is most often idiopathic. which means cause unknown. It is not caused by heridity
