I found out when I was about 13 that I had scoliosis. It looks almost like an "S", but not quite. I went to the doctor and they told me to wear a backbrace. Because of my stupidity, I barely wore it. Now, I'm about to turn 21. Can I still fix it? Will it affect me when I eventually become pregnant? Will I have a big hunchback when I get old? PLEASE give me some answers! I'm like stressing out.

My child may possibly have very mild autism and will be doing a lot of brain work in the next few weeks which include an EEG and MRI. The doctor feels he is at the very mild side of the Austism spectrum if not just a "late bloomer". Any advice or information would be great if you have experienced this. Thanks!

In general. I though it was a sudden increase in blood pressure. Is that one cause, or the only one? I am so confused.

In psychology, whenever the teacher talked about Anxiety, panic attack, bipolar, depression, schizophrenia and other disorders, I would keep thinking to myself, "I think I have that disease."

So, the teacher give us a list of signs that you might have that disease, I keep thinking about that list and if I see one sign, that drives me crazy thinking about it.

about 3 or 4 days ago i found a lump on the right side of my neck. at first i thought it was maybe just a tight muscle from sleeping wrong or something but it didnt hurt. ive come to the conclusion that its a swollen lymph node. however, i am not sick at all, not even a sore throat, and have not been sick in quite a while. i dont believe that i am coming down with anything either.

i dont think i have any cuts or abrasions or anything like that either. could it swell up for no reason? i dont have any swelling in the other side, groin or arm pits either.

im going to try to get to the health center tomorrow, but i was just curious as to what it might be from.

by the way im a healthy 19 year old female.

thank you

I was just wondering that how do you people, with IBS go on with daily basis. Like for example, mine is constipation. it's a very bad bloating and gas..but i REALLY want to know why can't my mom understand me when i tell her i can't go to college like this? Like any of you who have these symptoms..what do you do? isn't soo hard, or don't you really worry about how your gonna go to class the next day. Don't you feel this way every single day?? Why is my mom blaming me i dont get it. I JUST CANT DO IT. I CANT LEARN ANYTHING LIKE THIS, SITTING IN THE CLASSROOM ALL STRESSED UP. What do you think? am i weird to be saying this? I know i got oto take some meds, that will give some relief, but still, im not as happy, as confident as the reast of the people. I WAS NEVER LIKE THIS BEFORE. NEVER. Its been 7 months already. Every day..i had been going with it..thinking, hoping it would pass away, til 2 weeks ago i found out what it is. Just tell me plizz, how do you feel.?? thank you.

I can feel it in my throat most of the time and if i kind of squeeze my throat and gag a little these lumps come up. they smell awful and feel like very soft wax. i left some in a ciggerete paper for safe keeping and it hardened into a crystal not unlike the ones that form on the head of squeezed acne. I'm a smoker and have asthma. I have panic attack where my head heats up and i seem to have more of this stuff in my throat after i have had a prolonged (2 hours+) panic attack

Okay, so I had asked a question earlier in this category, about some odd thing coming out in my urine...

I had said it was bloody, and squishy. I retrieved it from the toilet and kept it in a little dixie cup for when I see my doctor. I had a bit of the urine or water in the cup... and it dissolved. I'm thinking it was mucus, instead of a blood clot (too light), or kidney stone (too soft).

I mentioned before that I have very frequent (2 times a month) UTIs, and I'm wondering if this couldn't be related?

It didn't hurt coming out and YES, I AM SURE IT CAME FROM MY URETHRA! (I saw it, and felt it.)

So anyone have any ideas? I'm 15, female... not pregnant nor sexually active. Could this be mucus, or possibly (please no) a polyp?

I have many of the symptoms of acid reflux, including the sensation of water in my throat, which makes me feel like I'm going to vomit sometimes. It gets worse when I lay down, and it gets worse when I eat spicy and fatty foods along with citrus fruits. I have been told that acid reflux can include pain in the stomach region or chest region, however, before I found out that I had acid reflux I had sharp, pressure-like pains right underneath my ribs (my mom said that's where the intestines are). Is it acid reflux or what is it? The doctor diagnosed me with it but they didn't take any tests or anything; they just assumed that's what I have because I have similar symptoms, and said I'm probably just under alot of stress and that I don't need to take any tests :-\. Another thing I noticed is that I usually have a mixture of nausea and heartburn, and the feeling of having a full stomach hours after eating. Thanks, all help appreciated!

I have had an ear infection for over a week now. 5 days ago it hurt so bad that my face and neck started hurting around it. So I went to the ER. She said it was one of the worst she has ever seen. So she gave me an antibiotic and a pain shot. well the antibiotic is gone now. My ear no longer hurts, but it still feels weird and I can't really hear out of it and it sounds like I am echoing every time I talk. I have tried the antibiotics, ear drops, sweet oil, hot compresses, what else can I do? this is so annoying.

Sometimes I feel like I am too much of a burden on my family. I am currently dealing with metastatic kidney disease, and for the most part they are very supportive of me. I do, and can live alone, though after procedures I often spend 3 to 5 days with them to be sure I am free of reactions or fever. Lately I have been getting the feeling that I am staying too long, even though I contribute by fixing meals or whatever else I can. My parents are gifts from God, I don't want to overstay my welcome, but I live alone, there is nobody to see if I am in trouble unless I can alert someone, or someone is there to see. Am I wrong in staying with my parents for a few days after a procedure?

When I was 17 I had 2 metal rods put in my back to help cure me of scoliosis. Now, I am 7 months pregnant, and I don't know how having the metal rods will affect me when I give birth. Some have told me that I will have a C-section others have said that I will have to give birth naturally, b/c i won't be able to have an epidural. Does anyone know or has anyone been in this situation?
